Influencer Marketing: Where do we stand?

A recent ruling by the Hamburg Higher Regional Court (OLG Hamburg) confirms that influencers are not necessarily required to label their own brand advertising as “advertising” where the commercial purpose is obvious in any event. This is a good opportunity to update the Swiss legal position and briefly compare it with the German ruling.

AI Governance for the Boardroom

AI regulation has long ceased to be merely an EU topic for IT and compliance departments. It has become a leadership and governance issue that directly affects Swiss companies too, particularly financial institutions – whether because they operate in the EU market, or because FINMA (the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority) is systematically sharpening its own expectations on AI governance. FINMA Supervisory Notice on Quantum Computing

Key drivers are in particular ETH Zurich and EPFL, as well as Switzerland's strength in robotics, sensor technology and autonomous systems. The US has massively tightened tariffs on drone imports: 25-100% depending on weight and capabilities, with a privileged rate of 15% for Switzerland – but only if substantially all hardware, software and technology originates from Switzerland, the EU or other listed partner states. This brief overview summarizes what Swiss drone manufacturers should now bear in mind and implement quickly.
